Why I'm running
“I am running for a seat on the Guam Education Board to help improve the system that raised me. Our students, educators, employees, and families deserve better, and I intend to be the change that the Guam Department of Education deserves.”
Candidate summary
Accountability. Transparency. Student Success.
As a graduate of the Guam Department of Education, a former foster child who experienced homelessness, a former foster parent to a public school student, and a former news anchor who covered the education beat, I have seen the department’s challenges firsthand. I have regularly attended Guam Education Board meetings, met weekly with the Superintendent of Education, and toured campuses to deeply understand the issues our department faces. I intend to use my leadership experience across the government, non-profit, and private sectors to actively listen and address these critical problems.

The first 100 days
I will not only attend every Guam Education Board meeting but also actively tour the 32 campuses within the department. As I have done throughout this campaign, I will continue to listen to the students and employees of GDOE, advocate for their needs, and support them to the best of my ability.
