Frequently asked questions

Who can vote in Guam's 2026 election?

U.S. citizens who are residents of Guam and at least 18 years old by Election Day, and who are registered with the Guam Election Commission.

What's the difference between the Primary and General?

The Primary (August 1, 2026) picks each party's nominees — you choose one party's ballot and vote only in its races. Independent candidates skip the Primary and appear straight on the General ballot. The General (November 3, 2026) is the final vote for every office, including the nonpartisan Attorney General race.

How many senators do I vote for?

Up to 15. Guam elects all 15 senators at-large — the whole island votes from the same list, no districts — so every senate candidate is on your ballot. You can vote for fewer than 15 if you choose.

What does the U.S. Delegate do?

The Delegate is Guam's one seat in the U.S. Congress — a non-voting member of the House who speaks, sits on committees, and introduces legislation for the island in Washington.

Is Vote Smart Guam the Election Commission?

No. We are an independent, nonpartisan voter-information project — not the GEC and not affiliated with any candidate or party. For official registration and results, go to gec.guam.gov.
