Privacy

Your privacy, plainly

We built Vote Smart Guam to inform voters — not to harvest data. You can use the whole site anonymously. Signing in is optional and only saves your own list. Here's exactly how it works.

You can use everything anonymously

Browsing candidates, reading profiles, taking the Smart Match, and favoriting candidates all work with no account and no sign-up. The Smart Match is computed entirely on your device, and your favorites are stored only in your own browser — they never leave your device unless you choose to sign in.

Signing in is optional — and only saves your list

If you want your My Ballot and Smart Match results to follow you across devices, you can sign in with a one-time link sent to your email (no password). If you do, we store only: your email address, your saved favorites and Smart Match answers, and whether you opted in to email updates. That's it. You never have to create an account to use the site.

Email is your choice

We only email you if you opt in, and only for election dates and announcements — never spam. You can unsubscribe in one click from any message, or from your account.

What we never do

  • We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
  • We never use your data for advertising or profiling.
  • We never use your information for any partisan purpose.
  • We never accept money or contributions from any candidate, campaign, political party, or caucus.

Delete your data anytime

Remove a candidate with its bookmark, or clear your browser's site data to wipe everything stored on your device. If you signed in, open your account and choose Clear my saved datato erase what's saved to your account too.

We are not the GEC

Vote Smart Guam is independent and nonpartisan — not the Guam Election Commission and not affiliated with any candidate or party. For official registration and results, visit gec.guam.gov.
