Why I'm running
“I am running because the people who hear and address the concerns on a daily basis (our village mayors) need the support at the legislature. They are the publice servents who hear and address the concerns on every resident on a daily basis. They need the support and resources on the legislative floor, where the resources are allocated. ”
Candidate summary
Our Communities, Our Families, and Our Health
I am born and raised in the village of Dededo. I am happily married to Kathleen Pastrana-Savares and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Maxine and Olivia. I come from a long line of village mayors, my great grandfather is former commissioner Vicente San Agustin Benavente (24 years) and my mother former Mayor Melissa Savares (20 years).
The biggest issue facing Guam
Our economy is lead to many people choosing to relocate off-island, we need to make Guam affordable for all our people to live.
To the voters
My platform is not Republican or Democrat, it is a platform that benefits every single person who calls Guam home, from our Man’amko to our Man'hoben.
The first 100 days
Within my first 100 days, I intend to restructure the recycling revolving fund (RRF), to better get the resources into the the hands of the agencies who are charged with clean up efforts. This is a fee that every resident pays, but it seems to take forever for the funds collected to be remitted to the agenies who have to keep Guam clean.
